Today's tourist adventure was Horton Park #parkrun. A delightful Victorian Park in Bradford. 3 laps where the uphill felt significantly more than the downhill. Lots of thanks to the volunteers helping me up that hill. #runnersofmastodon #over60running #trailrunning

A lovely morning run at Penistone Parkrun this morning. A nice flat out and back course along the Trans Penine Trail with amazing views over Penistone and a tough run round a wet field to start and finish the run. Surprised myself with a 22:37 and 3rd in the old guys age group as im not feeling well with a cold. A breezy bit of tourism this morning at Morecambe Prom Parkrun. A delightful out & back flat course along the prom until you turn round and come back into the wind. The mountains of the Lake District accross the bay are a terrific sight looming darkly in the distance. Tough bit of #trailrunning this morning starting off at the Cat & Fiddle and up to Shining Tor on to Cats Tor and then down to Errwood Reservoir before that steep gruelling climb back up the hill. What an amazing location for a #parkrun at Trentham Gardens. A terrific one lap course on good paths with only a small hill on loose gravel to contend with and stunning views of the beautiful landscaped gardens. A wet & wild #parkrun this morning at Greenfield Valley in Wales. A beautiful course even in the rain with a great view of the ruins of the medieval Basingwerk Abbey but a long 2.5km hill to finish made me glad to see the rather soggy looking finish sign. No rain this morning for my 178th parkrun at the very beautiful #ChevinForest parkrun. What a wonderful forest trail with a rough, stoney, killer hill right at the start. I finished a slow 41st place but first in the old guys age group. Thanks to the volunteers for making this happen. No #parkrun today but i did a rather wet Tolkien Trail 11k instead organised by @PennineTrails. A really fabulous venue at Stonyhurst College (Hogwarts) where Tolkien studied and a truly lovely route. The last ½k to the finish along the long staight road to the college felt like forever though. I was 54th out of 357 runners and 2nd in the older gentleman's catagory #trailrunning #tolkien #runnersofmastodon #mentalhealth #over60running
