Hello, Fedi. Weekly post to try and to keep my partner @LukeOrion and I inside for another week. We need to raise $360 by Sunday morning (March 22) to do that. Hey Mastodon, what's the latest take on content warnings?

When I first joined there seemed to be a lot more. In fact, when I posted my introductory post, I mentioned that I was a psychotherapist and I got some push back from folks about not putting a mental health content warning on it!

So...where are we with CW's? I have found blocking certain hashtags better for myself, but wanted to check and see what others are doing.

There is (or was) a rather long thread somewhere on the fedi explaining why LGBTQ+ folks - and especially trans women - are perceived by white Christian nationalists as such a threat to their desired social order. It had hundreds of boosts.

I'm pretty sure it was written by some sort of academic with relevant credentials, as it ended with at least three posts of references! Other than that, I can only recall they were on a server with a 500 character limit.

Does this ring any bells for anyone?
