A Bit of Murder between Friends by Elliott Hay. Coming summer 2023.

Every day, Baz, Peggy, Carole, and Madge get together to knit, drink tea, and gossip. Occasionally, they indulge in a bit of light murder … but only when strictly necessary.

I am loving this interview with Una McCormack on Dan Smith's "Coffee In Space" podcast! She's an amazing author, and they have a lovely conversation about all things Picard and the upcoming Season 3 of the show.

Have a listen: https://www.coffeeinspacepodcast.com/listen-to-the-show/

You might want to check out some of the back episodes as well - I love the friendly, welcoming nature of his podcast.

Dan's a member of my writing group and an all-around solid human being, as well. Enjoy! #Picard #SF #podcast #StarTrek

Regular reminder: "bioplastics" are NOT better for the environment, and "biodegradable" plastics don't biodegrade unless they're in an industrial composter. The focus needs to be on reducing unnecessary plastic use, and closing the loop on everything else. Making plastic out of corn/bamboo instead really doesn't help. #Ocean #Pollution #Bioplastics See here for more:

Bioplastics may avoid some of the issues associated with non-biodegradable fossil fuel–derived plastics, but they’re no panacea.

It's been eating at me still - this question of stories and politics. Is it even possible to have an apolitical or politically neutral story? The answer is clearly no.

So what's driving those screaming about 'woke' politics in our books and movies? What's behind all the #BookBans? I reckon I know, so I blogged about it.

Doomed Quest: The Search for Stories Sans Politics — Vicki KYRIAKAKIS
