It's been eating at me still - this question of stories and politics. Is it even possible to have an apolitical or politically neutral story? The answer is clearly no.

So what's driving those screaming about 'woke' politics in our books and movies? What's behind all the #BookBans? I reckon I know, so I blogged about it.

Doomed Quest: The Search for Stories Sans Politics — Vicki KYRIAKAKIS

In the endless quest for fiction without politics, have some people lost sight of what makes us human? An exploration of whether apolitical fiction is desirable, and most importantly of all, whether it is even possible.

@VickiKyriakakis you did have a lot more to say! Your blogs raise enough thoughts to require multiple reads. One I’m sure many have had is the fascist subversion in Texas and Florida of banning books but not guns, in their stated attempt to “protect the children” (where everyone who does not align with their politics is treated like a child who needs protecting from themselves). I wonder how many ‘woke’ texts have been responsible for murder and terrorism? Thank you for sharing these blogs.
