@brohrer "browser doesn't work with LinkedIn," the definition of feature-not-a-bug. 😁
for me, Vivaldi has a bug where it keeps yanking me out of LinkedIn text editor boxes, like when composing a post, and it makes LI almost impossible to use. I don't hate it
For people who are concerned about having their devices seized at US airports starting Monday when ICE "assists" the TSA, EFF has this guide: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2025/06/journalist-security-checklist-preparing-devices-travel-through-us-border
A Journalist Security Checklist: Preparing Devices for Travel Through a US Border

We wrote this checklist to help journalists prepare for transit through a U.S. port of entry while preserving the confidentiality of your most sensitive information, such as unpublished reporting materials or source contact information. It’s important to think about your strategy in advance, and begin planning which options in this checklist make sense for you.

We are looking into the possibility of creating a #Luanti for Edu/Kids edition which would be a new app on the play store and a new download from luanti.org. It will (1) provide tools for parents/teachers to manage kids (2) achieve a lower age rating, aiming for age 6.

We're looking to get in touch with someone who know about age ratings and our obligations. Perhaps someone from #IARC/#USK/another board who also knows about open source. Does anyone have any connections we could talk to?

Sometimes I do not Sunday very well.

Today I watched an hour of Avatar The Last Airbender with the kiddos, then read the latest manga of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, and now I'm about to go for a family bike ride. When I get home I think I'll make a cuppa and knit.

I am Sunday-ing very well.

I am so happy that I can talk about this now!!

I worked on – and am in the credits for – #CrimsonDesert! :D

This makes me unbelievably happy, not the least because it's unfortunately still common in the #gaming industry to not credit #localisation staff, especially freelancers.

And that means that despite my work experience in the #translation industry, this is actually my first ever properly credited role! I could not be happier today.

This isn't your normal "looking for work" post.

I've decided to shut my business and do more volunteer / community work.

If you know of an organisation which could use a board member with strong digital skills, extensive experience in open source and open standards, or cybersecurity please let me know.

Nothing full time. Personal recommendations preferred. Feel free to share.

A big difference between Iran and Vietnam is that Trump had an effective strategy to get out of Vietnam.
