Biochemist Marie Maynard Daly, who studied correlations between heart attacks and cholesterol, and between smoking and lung disease, was born #OTD in 1921. Daly was also part of the team that established the primary nucleic acid bases.

She was the first Black woman to receive a chemistry PhD in the US.

Elon Musk also didn't found #PayPal but he foundeded X.com and it merged with Confinity. That entity then became PayPal. Elon was replaced by Peter Thiel as CEO but he retained his shares. The funds from the sale to EBay is what allowed Elon to start his present 'empire'.

It would be good for progressive superstars including but not limited to Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Reps. AOC, Pressley, Tlaib, Omar and rest of the squad to establish their footprints in the #Fediverse. Their base is here - they should join rest of us (while maintaining their presence on the birdsite to take on fascists).
