I’ve been consumed by #knitting yarn cozies to tame all my #yarn cakes when I’m knitting on the go. I’ve made two cozies for 100g cakes as well as a 50g and 20g one. It’s the perfect project for toothy sock yarn because it grips the cakes so well. The patterns for different sizes are called Yarn Cozy Lite & Mini Yarn Cozy by Knitty Natty on #ravelry

I’m still waiting on my PCR results that will arrive tomorrow, but I think I’m nearing the end of my Covid quarantine #knitting, so I wanted to document my progress. I’ve knit all the mini skeins in my stash to create 30 #hexipuffs for #TheBeekeepersQuilt, bringing my total to 77 hexipuffs. It’s not even close to being a blanket yet, but it’s approximately 38.5 hours of knitting total.

Picked up #knitting for the first time in years since I’m just stuck in bed. I needed something mindlessly simple, so I made a #hexipuff from #TheBeekeepersQuilt pattern by Tiny Owl Knits on #ravelry. The top one is the one I made last night that has yet to be stuffed. I have so much colorful fingering weight yarn that I would never wear that’s perfect for this.

Tonight was the perfect mix of humid but cool as I walked the back streets of Akihabara. Dozens of lanterns hung in front of local store fronts, and I serendipitously stumbled across mikoshi (portable shrine) processions with drums and other musical accompaniment for the very last night of Kanda Matsuri. Many shrine bearers from neighborhood associations wore matching tops, so it was easy to pick them out through steamy restaurant windows as they rested for dinner. #神田祭 #kandamatsuri #tokyo
