#MeMadeMay and
#The100DayProject
Continuing to wear #MeMade clothes every day in some sort of combination, and I'm doing little #sewing projects most days for my 100 days. I got to sew with one of the local groups on Friday, and on Thursday, I walked my sister through the steps for making a quilted zipped pocket for glasses, charging cords, or anything else that a person needs to protect and find quickly. The red zipped pocket was given to one of the quilters who keeps sharing her stash.
#MeMadeMay Feel free to mute this hashtag if you aren't interested. Most of my wardrobe is no #MeMade at this point.
Today's look is a mockneck Dawson Top from Helen's Closet, paired with linen shorts sewn with the Chanterelle Pants pattern from Sew Liberated. Both were pretty easy makes, using fabric I loved. Of course, I immediately splashed my top with a slightly greasy soup. A reason why I often choose print fabrics. The linen was bought in Korea.

You'd better wear your new #MeMade jacket over there to impress them with!

I (finally) finished making this top today. It's a wearable toile, testing an adaptation of a dress pattern with darts into a more boxy top to go with skirts or trousers.

The trim has been in my stash for ages, so is nice to finally have it on something.

The UFO is now an FO!!

Looks great! I think you'll really enjoy your #MeMade jacket!

Fabulous makes!! The top pattern is a perfect match with your hair, and the pocket bags are delightful. Enjoy wearing your #MeMade outfit.

Outfit photos. This day, and only this day, when I am too busy with laundry and work, we have nice weather: 10 degrees C, and mostly sunny.
So when I had to walk to work to get some papers so that I could work from home while the laundry was done, I dressed in a spring outfit. Everything you see except the shoes and tights, is made by me. The shoes are a charity shop find.

Day 4: add an extra hemline to a shortened rayon batik skirt. Another woman from my sewing group gave me multiple rayon garments that were too big for her. They blend nicely with my #MeMade wardrobe but minor adjustments are needed. One more task is complete.

I'm ecstatic to have a great #MeMade wardrobe! It's so fun to see what can be created with each new and often repurposed piece of fabric.

Sewed my #QuiltCoat lining first to check fit

I’m happy with the length. A little surprised at the amount the lapels will open, glad I didn’t add any design elements at the top. It’s a bit bunchy around the armpits, but it’s basically a giant T so I didn’t really expect ideal fit there anyway

Excited to quilt the quilt part now - going to use Thermore batting so it’ll 🤞🏻 drape really nicely
