Not keen on being cold, but Autumn has compensations...

The #JacketOfManyStitches is out of the wardrobe again...

Wow! Fabulous fabric and excellent modifications. Now that I've expanded my #MeMade wardrobe, I don't look much at ready-made clothing, but this looks great.

That's totally how I feel about #sewing, especially now that I have a #MeMade wardrobe! It's even better when I can upcycle fabric and clothing that would otherwise wind up in the landfill!
@Giselle
Thanks!! I'm currently faffing about, as the Brits would say, because it's my sew day an hour away, and I have allergy symptoms disturbing my morning and making my head spin. I'll wait a bit longer before deciding whether to make the journey. The days are so productive once I get there!
I've had #sewing inspiration lately because several young women have gushed over my #MeMade clothing! One of them told me that my style rocks! I definitely don't have a cookie-cutter look.
Classes are quite pricey, but taking them really keeps me on track with my makes, helping me to solve the inevitable problems that arise. Hope you find a way through the obstacles to your sewing.
@popchicken
That looks great! I wear a #MeMade wardrobe almost exclusively now, and have ventured into quilt-as-you-go, so there may be a quilted #MossJacket somewhere in my future!

Of the ten garments I'm wearing today I made five (counting a pair of socks as one garment). My grandmother made a sixth (approx 22 years ago) and my aunt a seventh (approx 18 years ago).
Of the remaining three garments, one was bought second hand, one from an ethical clothing company, and one from a cancer fundraiser.
I'm happy with the direction my wardrobe is moving in. Also I am nice and warm, wearing four wool garments (three knitted, one crocheted) and two of flannelette.

Turned another child's single duvet into clothing. This time a dress from Style Arc (Trinnie using the extension pack options). I need to work on a better way of doing gathers as I'm not a huge fan of how the bottom tier (the longest) turned out. But a good bit of silliness for a wearable toile.

Studio Tunic finally made it out of the WIP pile! I started this months ago but hit a snag when all the neck and armhole facings were 2cm short (at least I am consistent). Switched to bias binding; made my own from a batch of fat quarters I had for a pillow project that never materialized. Seams are Frenched and all the bias binding is understitched. It is sturdy! I'm still not sure about the fit; it's a bit larger than it needs to be but I think it will work with boots and a bit of styling. Made from thrift store linen. I am pleased with this make. I made the most of the long weekend and sewed jersey covers for four yoga bolsters (so soft - I wish I had done this sooner), repaired a tank top, finished the arms holes in a dress I had modified, and repaired a skirt hem.

I have another pattern waiting in the wings and some more second hand fabric in my stash! Onward!
