Did you know the #MATE desktop hasn't had a release announcement since version 1.26 in 2021?
There still isn't an announcement, BUT
MATE 1.28 has been official since February 12th. You can get it in places like #Fedora Rawhide, #OpenMandriva Cooker and #Slackware Current.
Hey #Linux #History nerds. Did you know that the Common Desktop Environment was released 30 years ago, and is still shipped in some versions of #UNIX?
Coincidentally, we spent the last month using #CDE ourselves because you can still install it today in some distributions.
