Trying to live life more offline with my online being small tech or self hosted any my social media being the fediverse. My first love (other than family) is to give new life to old technology. I build software. I’m also a massive Linux nerd and NixOS stopped me distro hopping 🥰

Exactly. NixOS is like a framework for Linux. We can have custom kernel and have a custom packages built for it and use them easily instead of developing a new distro for it.

And yes switching between WMs is too crazily easily and fear free. I use KDE now❤️

@leematthewjackson it stopped my distro hopping too🤣

Fellow folks of faith, let's stop criticizing other's lives. The Jesus in my faith is loving and welcomes all. We're all different. Different doesn't mean bad!

We don't have all the answers, and the conveniently potted Christianity that many lean on to judge others doesn't seem to jump out at me as the answer when I read scripture!

How do you expect to love folks and make them feel welcome otherwise!?

Rant so I remember these thoughts.

Hrrrm. I'd like to have a stable system but I also want to play around with the newest software. Luckily #NixOS with flakes allows me to do both relatively easily.

Duck Hunt Css

A complete Duck Hunt only made in Css, no Javascript. I needed a project to learn css3 animation, so I did a remake of one of the greatest game ever.....

Well ventilated 😂

£40 charity shop PC. 10 years old…

I couldn’t resist a project so a few upgrades and a bit of tinkering:
new PSU, new case, spare parts, and a slightly dodgy PCIe USB breakout. (Thank you zip tie inventor)

Now it’s running:
i7 6000 series, 32GB RAM, RTX GPU 8GB, 500gb SSD…
and yes, the WiFi dongle is inside the case 😂

Old hardware isn’t dead.
