Another June, another Traralgon marathon event. Once again, there for the half with a bunch of other #bawbawrunners . Weather at the start was cold and foggy, but cleared to a brilliant bluebird day. My race was casually indifferent, but issues early, solved by an unplanned toilet stop 🙄 Afterwards, all good as I found my rhythm.
Nicky needed to run under 2:30 to qualify for Wonderland. Result achieved with 2:17 (subject to confirmation), which was a great relief.

Not much growing in the vegetable garden this time of year, except self seeded borage.
The species Borago officinalis is from the Mediterranean region and thrives in a Victorian climate. I originally planted one in 2021, and have allowed seedlings to mature ever since, the bees love the star shaped flowers.

Easter usually means chocolate, but ends up as passata when there are too many tomatoes to eat fresh 😊

Dinner at local Vietnamese restaurant finished up with coffee.
The filter sits on the top of the cup, dripping slowly until all the water drains from the filter. The bottom of the cup is lined with condensed milk, stir and enjoy strong, sweet coffee.☕😊

Head on the heels of the first flower for our Grevillea, comes the first flower on our Callistemon. The recent rain may have been unwelcome in its length and severity, but the garden has responded magnificently.
