A former student, now in first grade, struggles with sitting still long enough to "complete his worksheet packets every day." His new school has strongly encouraged medication. This breaks my heart. If a child is struggling in his environment, we change the environment, we don't medicate the child to "fit" the environment. #edutooter #K12
Jeff Moore@DavidKnuffke @edutooters @edutooter Agreed. I think humor and vulnerability should be on the list of relationship- and culture-building practices, too. I've never found a better tool than vulnerability to teach empathy.
