Running for office, keeping my eyes open
Help an afab out. Raycon headphones. Accent? Anyone else hearing this? Anyone else care at all?? She's so different!! All of my other headphones have the same voice. Jabra, my sleep mask, the random Bluetooth earbuds I grabbed at Dollar General cos I was losing my mind without earbuds, even the expensive Turtle Beach ones all say, crisp as a fall morning "Power on.. Connecting... Connected."
Raycon however!!
"Pahweyr ahn. Cahnnectehng. Cahnnectehd."
Who voiced these???
Why is she different from all of my headphones??
Why do they all have the same exact voice? Why is she different??
Who is she?????
Please I need answers and the Internet is unforgiving.

Kellogg's announced plans to close a plant in Omaha. Hundreds will lose jobs.

This comes months after its CEO suggested families struggling with grocery prices eat cereal for dinner.

Kellogg's prices were up 17% in 2023. Its profits increased too.

Textbook corporate greed.

The DOT regulated junk fees. Airlines are suing.

The CFPB capped credit card fees. Banks are suing.

Medicare is negotiating drug prices. Pharma is suing.

The FTC banned noncompetes. Business groups are suing.

Corporate America can't stand government working for the people.

A history of the top marginal tax rates on the wealthiest Americans:

1940: 81%
1950: 84%
1960: 91%
1970: 72%
1980: 70%
1990: 28%
2000: 40%
2010: 35%

For 50 years, corporate backed politicians in Congress have slashed taxes to line the pockets of their wealthy donors.

The Biden FTC is on a roll.

It banned noncompete clauses.

It blocked the Kroger/Albertsons merger that would send grocery bills skyrocketing.

Now it's taking action against Adobe for allegedly trapping users in pricey subscriptions.

This is government working for the people.

Why are we talking about whether paying fast food workers a better wage will drive up the cost of a Big Mac instead of asking how much McDonald's CEO's $19.2 million salary is driving up the cost? Hello?

Why are corporate CEOs cozying up to Trump?

Yes, the tax cuts — but it's not just that.

Biden is reviving anti-trust in a massive way, with lawsuits against Amazon, Apple, Ticketmaster, and many more.

Corporate execs are terrified of their monopolies being broken up.

The main strength of the Fediverse is that it is spread out on many independent servers. It is a strength because it gives grassroots communities direct control and ownership of the network, without relying on tech companies.

However, this structure can also make it more difficult to find stuff or see complete versions of profiles and threads.

There is more info about why the Fediverse works like this (and how problems can be solved/mitigated) at:
