The DOT regulated junk fees. Airlines are suing.

The CFPB capped credit card fees. Banks are suing.

Medicare is negotiating drug prices. Pharma is suing.

The FTC banned noncompetes. Business groups are suing.

Corporate America can't stand government working for the people.

Further proof (👆) that #BidenNotTheSame

Great list of #PeopleBeforeProfit actions from the #Biden admin. All this and *no* felonies/indictments.

@rbreich and the GOP has aligned with each of these corporate complaints. The GOP doesn't care about consumers, they only care about companies regardless of what they say at their rallies or on Fox news. Of course, we live in a post-truth society so they can say what they want - even if they are on camera doing the opposite and their followers will believe them.
@denniskoch @rbreich when the government governs, it’s socialism, apparently.
@gekitsu @denniskoch @rbreich I mean I’d more or less agree with that—when the government does broadly what it’s *supposed to*, that’s approximately socialism.
@gekitsu @denniskoch @rbreich Republicans love it when rule enforcers enforce the rules on people of color. Republicans HATE it when rule enforcers enforce the rules on the rich.
@rbreich

Hey! They worked hard and spent a ton of money to not have to deal with market forces. Too much to let the government just waltz in and try to hit reset.

@ferricoxide @rbreich They'll find that people who can barely afford housing & medical care aren't great consumers.
@Nazani @rbreich

Look at new cars: people making less than six figures aren't who companies are trying to sell to any more.
@ferricoxide @rbreich
Then unless they build mass transit we proles aren't getting to work.
@Nazani @rbreich

That's why they love offshoring and automating away jobs.
@rbreich calling it corporate America is a bit redundant

@rbreich this happens when there is a class of rich people so wealthy that they don't believe that they need government. They could afford to pay for private roads, private police, private schools, and private property far away from pollution and conflict.

We need a more equal society so everyone has a stake in our collective success. We need a maximum wage and higher taxes on speculative investments than on wages earned.

@Urban_Hermit @rbreich This is what's going on in Florida and Texas, IMHO.
@Urban_Hermit @rbreich But they don’t. They still use the road system everyone pays for, and the workforce the public education system turns out. I mean, part of the contract of citizenship is that you pay to build the basic public amenities everyone can use—but their argument that they’re not using them so shouldn’t have to pay for them doesn’t even have a true precedent.
@rbreich Republicans cheer when rule enforcers crack down violently on black people. They are outraged when rule enforcers just try to enforce the rules on the obscenely wealthy.
@rbreich Unfortunately, who do you think has more power??? Sigh

@rbreich 3 words:
Unionize. General Strike.

or

Eat. The. Rich.

@rbreich
Unfortunately, we know what side the courts are on

@rbreich and the capper

DoJ going after the Ticketmaster monopoly!

@rbreich These and many other lawsuits will be dropped within 6 months of Trump getting into office, because he'll "remove the objection" if you know what I mean.
@rbreich Lawyers Love Democrats-fools and their money are soon parted.
