"This is why we have been working with a broad and unprecedented coalition that has risen in opposition. Nearly every major hunting, fishing, outdoor recreation, and conservation organization in the country—representing tens of millions of sportsmen and women—have formally urged the Senate to reject this provision. We stand united that our focus should be on the restoration and improved management of our public lands “for the benefit and enjoyment of the people”—not selling them to the highest bidder! "
Let's see them organize their members to protest this. It's time we saw many more people from disparate groups pushing back for a variety of reasons.
@ai6yr I can often come together with people who don't share my politics over our shared love of the land
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one
@BurritoSommelier
no, I'm fucking cynical that they are doing this because they love parks - more like they love selling shit to people who go to parks.
no parks?
no sales
no profits
seems like many corporations only do the right thing if it might impact their profits
@BurritoSommelier
they should have paid attention in the first place because anybody who was paying attention back in 2016 when that jackass was first elected KNEW this was going to happen if it got elected again
but no, big corps didn't have the guts to oppose this shit and vote against this insanity ...
UNTIL IT HIT THEM IN CHECK BOOK.
@ai6yr Looks someone was paying attention. Sen. Lee has a revised version of the public lands bill.
