Ex-farm worker here.
We need to talk about this whole "But a living wage for farm workers would spike the cost of food!" thing.
Not true AT ALL.
Y'all don't understand how fast experienced farm workers are.
The average tomato picker pulls 650lbs per hour.
At $20/hr, that's $0.03/lb for labor.
A few things I notice about this as a fellow NYC teacher.
1. This guy goes all out for his kids, keeping the park reservation slots at that location, which is one of the best in the city is hard. He's on top of the paperwork, and going the extra mile so they can do their sports.
2. This was racial profiling most likely. Just targeting kids because they aren't white.

Things I would like every young web engineer to learn:
- anything you can do in CSS + HTML, you *should* do in CSS + HTML
- *framework du jour* is not a platform, it's a high-interest loan against your future capacity. The platform is the platform
- understanding the memory hierarchy *always* matters
- client-side isn't easier than the server, and "generalists" usually suck at client-side. Mind the (packet) gap
- managers who are not technical are not useful
- put users first, always
伊朗没有能够取代现政府的反精英势力，这才是主要问题。而不是说现政权不会垮台。这是两个不同的问题。政权当然会垮 - 但在这种情况下，缺乏有组织的反精英+自治系统完全空白，就只会导致一件事：一旦政权垮台就会陷入全面混乱。边缘化的反精英团体之间进入权力斗争状态。老百姓受二茬罪。
现政权已将伊朗带入了死胡同，而在这种治理模式下是无法走出死胡同的。而真正的问题是，没有任何力量能够提出一个为伊朗社会所接受的新计划，更不用说长远受益了。
如果是被外部占领，反而可以“解决”这些问题。占领者要么带来自己的人，要么招募当地的合作者。阿富汗就是一个例子，占领者用坦克运来了“总统”卡尔扎伊，然后又用一个类似的人取代他。这里的问题也很明显：占领政权一旦发生变化，政府就会再次陷入崩溃。
他们显然不会占领伊朗，因为根本没有人可以占领伊朗。因此通过军事失败强行瓦解政权要么根本不可能，要么会带来一段很长的混乱期，早前已经举过利比亚的例子。这个例子很能说明问题。
