Until they wanted to nationalise oil. As US and British oil companies were taking the oil with little local benifit.

The US and British organised a coup and installed a new leader, which lead them down the path of anti west religious leaders and treatment of woman, they have today.

Iran was secular, but never a democracy. It was a legal crime to dissent, media were were imprisoned with jail sentences for criticizing government. Whitey goes on and on about democracy, which doesn't exist, but when a government announces they will be hanging some women for execution, whitey is silent. When a government announces that they will be killing an immigrant accused of stealing, the west is silent. The west pushes a narrative to feel superior but have a bigoted view of others from not interested in learning how to not insult other customs, traditions, and values

If you knew anything about Iran you would know they would never use a nuke to attack another country, Iran hasn’t attacked another sovereign state in over 200 years.

But if Israel and USA have proven anything they have made it blatantly obvious why Iran needs a nuclear deterrent now more than ever. Particularly after being unlawfully attacked in recent weeks and considering they are the only country of the seven wars in seven years yet to be destroyed by the Israel US terror campaign.

In 2002 George Bush coined the phrase 'axis of evil' to mean Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. He then ordered the invasion of Iraq.
Three years later, North Korea announced that it had tested a nuclear bomb.
Maybe Iran would have been safer from the USA if they had actually been developing nuclear weapons.
