What an awesome description of life here on #mastodon, particularly if you're coming from that other place.
It reminds me of something that happened when we moved from a metropolitan city in Wisconsin and into a much smaller town in Virginia. Very early on, we realized that complete strangers were waving at us as we drove by. Not flipping us off as they usually do in the big city (an exaggeration!), but it was still a remarkable difference in culture & friendliness. And a welcome change!
That is just how I feel about Mastodon. I'm seeing more and more people commenting about how much more "social" Mastodon is than the other place (or any other social media, actually) and it gives me hope that I'm not just in a honeymoon phase -- but that that this truly is a way of life on Mastodon!
