Caffe NekoDear Twitter ex-pats. When we all flounced out of Twitter loudly proclaiming we were going to Mastodon this sent a message to trolls, nazis that they could set up servers & come here.
If anyone gets harrassed with hatespeech pls note that that is not the culture of Mastodon. Please report & block those users. If you notice a pattern from the same weird domain, block that domain, write a post of the server name w/ a hashtag fediblock so your server admin can follow up & block it for everyone.
I moved to @law-and-politicsAgain, this is an attempt to frame the issue as a dispute under the PRA instead of a former guy walking off with government documents.

He then transitions to the argument that a former president now a private citizen creates "special circumstances.”
Trump claims that because he remains politically active, a criminal inquiry or indictment harms him by harming his reputation.
You have to give his lawyers credit for their nerve in advancing that argument with a straight face.
Conclusion: The 11th Circuit already found (in deciding the stay issue) that Trump is likely to lose this appeal on the merits.
I do not expect the DOJ's appeal to break Trump's losing streak.
