@BasicAppleGuy @jamesthomson @gedeonm The look on my wife's face when I showed her this was priceless.

“You’re funny.”

@jsamuelson @stroughtonsmith I think “failure” is harsh, but there’s a big gap in third-party ecosystem aspiration as told at WWDC (“the future of TV is apps”) for both tvOS and watchOS and reality. Watches are selling well. Third-party watch apps are not doing well at all.
The Russians think they just have to kill enough Ukrainians, win the war, and then their trading relations will get back to normal.
Today, my generation has a very positive view of Germans, but I remember growing up in the 1980's in Denmark, where some of my dad's business relations still would not do deals with anyone from Germany.
That was forty years after World War II and Hitler's occupation of Denmark.
Forty years — this is the kind of anger the Russians have drawn upon themselves.

It's my birthday today, and to celebrate I'm making all my apps... paid! 🥳 Today all my apps are 4 euros instead of free.
If you enjoy my work and want to give me a birthday gift, you can buy it today. Or... wait until tomorrow when they're free again!

I have a bad habit of kneeling on the living room floor (carpet) in the evening, at the coffee table, futzing around on the iPad. For the last 5+ years, due to my damaged right knee, I'd then be unable to unbend my right leg for several minutes after I stood up.

Tonight I forgot not to kneel and ended up there for 20 mins or so — and managed to stand straight up and unbend my leg, then walk on it immediately without pain. Two weeks of physio, daily exercises. WHY didn't I get help sooner?

Yes. I purchased a CD. But this just came out and this was an album that defined my teen years. It’s still epic. Also, RIP Chester.
Happy Easter to all who celebrate Eos, the 30th-century-BCE Proto-Indo-European goddess of the dawn, personified as the 8th CE. West Germanic spring goddess Ēostre who, accompanied by hares, brought new life out of winter into spring (e.g. bird eggs) and who gave name to the month of Ēosturmōnaþ (April), which coincided with the Jewish Pesach observance, which provided both a lunisolar calendrical and metaphorical anchor for the resurrection of Jesus.

NetNewsWire 6.1.2 for Mac and iOS are out!

These releases remove Twitter integration, since Twitter suspended NetNewsWire for bullshit reasons and is a fucking stupid place.

NetNewsWire - NetNewsWire 6.1.2 for Mac and iOS

NetNewsWire 6.1.2 for Mac is out — you can do a check for updates or download it directly. NetNewsWire 6.1.2 for iOS is available via the App Store, though it may take a few hours to propagate. If you don’t see it yet, you’ll see it soon. Both of these releases remove Twitter integration, since Twitter has suspended NetNewsWire. Also, the iOS app icon now gets the same cool golden wings that the Mac app has.

@kissane @CoolBlenderKitten I hope it isn't. One of the worst things about Old Mastodon is this prevailing belief that just because you personally don't want a feature that could be opt in/out nobody else should have it either. THAT I really do resent and it is a huge hindrance to platform growth. That's where all the Content Police are coming from too. "I don't like threads so nobody should do them, I don't like X types of posts so they're not welcome here," etc. STFU & manage your prefs then 🙄
