HyperflatGraphite: A clean and modern dark theme for GIMP 3.

The GIMP 3 series cements its place as a professional and truly advanced piece of software.

It deserves a UI to match.

After completing v1 of my PrintroomExpertSuperflat theme, I decided to start work on a dark version. HyperflatGraphite is the result.

Download it and find out more at https://jpicture.net/hyperflatgraphite/

HyperflatGraphite Theme for GIMP 3

A dark, clean and modern GIMP 3 theme.

Photography for Professionals and Artists in Somerset

I’ve nearly completed my new clean dark theme for the GIMP 3 series, but I’d like some feedback on one thing before I release it.
Should I use a light or dark tone for the separators? Compare the images to see what I’m referring to.
I think the lighter separators are easier to see and the darker ones are less distracting.
Which do you think is better?
I know I have a bias towards making things low-contrast and ‘smooth’, maybe overly so, and I’d appreciate some outside perspective.

I'll be honest; when I first used GIMP I found it confusing. It was just like shopping in an unfamiliar big supermarket: everything was in a different place and looked slightly different. It was hard to find what I wanted.
I had to learn my way around but it didn't actually take very long. And, to use the supermarket analogy, everything in the new supermarket was free, healthier, and very filling.
If you're new to GIMP, or need help getting something done in it, let me know.

Someone (thanks @CmykStudent for discovering it!) shared this meme… about #ZeMarmot's Jehan, as @GIMP maintainer "hero developer"! 😅😎😱🤣

We were unsure what to do of it. In the end, just sharing it… for the fun. I should say "Thank you", I guess? 🤷🤗
