The seminar series follows an interdisciplinary scoping working on digital foodscapes, that took place in Hanover, Germany, in February 2025.
It brought together an international and interdisciplinary group of scholars and researchers that share an interest in digital technology and its manifold and complex relationships with food, eating, cooking and nutrition and nutritional sciences. The workshop resulted in a position paper on the concept of -- digital foodscapes -- which can be found here:

Digital Foodscapes: Past - Present - Future. Position Paper.
It is planned to further develop the concept of digital foodscapes in following events, publications and research projects.
We would also like to organize a panel on digital foodscapes at EASST 2026 (8-11 September 2026) in Kraków, Poland.
Thanks and best wishes in the name of the team
Joachim Allgaier
