Amazing what unexpectedly flies out of envelopes sometimes. I believe this is the marriage license for my great-great grandparents, who married in Scotland on June 13, 1873. I have the address of their wedding location, which was the bride's home, and looked it up on Google Earth. Looks like a very industrial area now.

Well, I know my grandfather (far right) and his friends weren't listening to the #Ramones ("Oh Oh I Love Her So") when they visited #ConeyIsland in 1912. But they might have ridden a coaster called the Giant Racer, which opened the year before.
Still, I'm curious to know more about the contraption they're riding in this photo.
