King Rubin.

I get tons of opportunities to photograph ruby-throated hummingbirds (Archilochus colubris). Not surprisingly, most opportunities are around the feeders. This little male who I call Rubin is trying to control access to the feeders at this location. He appears to blurt out a bird song. Long live King Rubin the ruby-throated hummingbird.

Today, Fort Hood was renamed for San Antonio’s Richard E. Cavazos – the first Mexican American to reach the rank of four-star general in the Army.

Gen. Cavazos inspired generations of troops with his integrity and courage. Starting today, Ft. Cavazos proudly bears his name.

Fort Hood renamed for real American hero – Cavazos (Editorial)

Fort Hood finally renamed Fort Cavazos, elevating a native Texan who served his country in Korea and Vietnam instead of a traitor who fought for a slavocracy.

As a text-first boomer I completely agree screenshots and videos are no substitute for written documentation. The mileage of younger generations may vary.

"When you throw a screenshot out into Notion (Wiki, Confluence, et cetera), you’re effectively defining a word WITH the word."

Screenshots are not documentation by Josh Sherman

Repeat after me, “screenshots are NOT documentation”. Neither are videos, looms, or animated GIFs. Links to Google Docs or random websites, better, but not best. The aforementioned media types are often confused with real, honest to glob, documentation. When you’re asked to document something, you’re being asked to describe it.

It used to be that a quick Google search for "how to do [a thing]" would lead you to a web page or a forum post that included the exact command and one sentence about how to accomplish that task. I don't know when the default result became "watch a ten minute Youtube video about how to do this thing" but it is really frickin obnoxious.
