A NASA astronaut has captured an electrifying image of Earth from space, featuring a gigantic, jellyfish-shaped "sprite" of red lightning shooting upwards above a thunderstorm in North America. The rare phenomenon is still poorly understood, despite being studied for more than 30 years.

#Czechia experienced a major #blackout today, and the fake news scene was full of references to the #GreenDeal and ecocommunism. Eventually, two competing (and contradicting) theories emerged:
1) the grid went down because too much power from German wind farms was going to it.
2) the grid went down because it wasn't windy in Germany and too much of our energy was going there.
In the end, it turned out that the blackout was caused by a downed wire on the main power line. But who cares about the truth these days? 🤷♂️
I am still impressed watching some of the shorts in the 4th season of Love, Death & Robots. Things getting better and better is a concept that feels foreign.
Today I learned there are rules for Road Runner ... BEEP-BEEP!

@skeletor Try not to take it too far though. It has its costs when you get older. At least hit the gym or something once in a while.
And put the remote down and pick up a book. Not much more relaxing than reading a book on integral psychology or C++ metaprogramming. Or a coming of age novel masquerading as an epic space war.
And mute the haters ;)
Reversing those two statements would work better 🙂
