This year's crop of Japanese Maple seedlings.

I've done this multiple years in a row now, and have only managed to keep a single maple alive for multiple years in a row, it's still doing well afaik, it hasn't leafed out yet, will find out in a month or so.

I think I'm starting to get the hang of it though...

Rule 1: never let the soil get dry even on the surface, always moist.
Rule 2: no mid-day sun over the summer, it's too hot here. Indirect or filtered sunlight only.

My damson plum does not get a repot this year, but I added some moss seed mix on top of the soil (after I took this picture).

Some buds are already opening - Are those the first flower buds since I grew it from seed? Not sure yet, but would be great!

I have had this cutting of a plum tree for at least two years or so. This year it finally blossomed and there are white flowers. I nearly did a major trimming before I saw the blossoms. Definitely not a good picture, but you get the gist.

i am somewhat annoyed to see my cotoneaster leafing out already. i kept it in the coldest part of the garage, but apparently that wasn't cold enough. time to start shuffling it in and out of the house again.

Today, Sunday will not be silent ;) Yesterday, I went to the World Flower Show in Katowice. In addition to a multitude of different plants, from succulents and cacti to orchids, there were also works of art - #bonsai trees. This is one of them... absolutely amazing!

I can stop any time! I swear!!! (Yes that's exactly what I said last time, and it is still exactly as true as last time!)

I think this one is hazelnut…? We will find out.
