Do you really need a hosted service connected to a large array of powerful computing units to create images with tools like #stablediffusion and #invokeai? Not essentially!

My setup here - an Apple #MacStudio with #M1 Max #SoC's (10 CPU cores and 32 GPU cores) with 32 GB RAM - is capable of generating images with #SDXL models with a resolution of 1 Megapixel (1024x1024 or alike) in about 2 to 3 minutes... well, depending on the model choosen and added low rank adaptations (#LoRA).

While i did my first steps with #ai generated images and #aiart with #midjourney back in fall 2022 my own journey has taken me to a local instance of #invokeai in spring 2023. That change has opened a door to like endless possibilities already.
Now the next step is ahead: #comfyui is even more flexible than invokeai (and #opensource). I'm really looking forward to take my esperiments even further...
