Got a new #horology #watch! Smiths Everest Expedition PRS-25. Found a local one, near mint for a great price, and no waiting for the next production run. 36mm is just the right size for me. https://www.timefactors.com/products/smiths-everest-expedition-prs-25
SMITHS EVEREST EXPEDITION

New Lucius Atelier #watch parts just arrived! Going to do a little homage #horology and build a 36mm pilot watch. The hand written thank you note is such a nice touch. Will post a #wristshot once it is done!
Finally got a Baltic Aquascaphe to add to my collection of #watches! First dive watch too. I’ve wanted one for years and decided it was time. Love the ceramic bezel that matches the dial. Definitely going to be my daily watch, it deserves to be worn and appreciated. Here’s a #wristshot
Finally got the Rolex 6564 finished for my brother in law. Turned out great! Hardest part was finding the period correct Brevet crown. #watches #horology #rolex
Saturday bike ride and #wristcheck with my self-assembled Lucious Atelier Seiko mod, an Explorer homage. Check out their #watches - anyone with basic tools can build one to taste
Starting work on this Rolex Oyester Perpetual 6564 - I love the honeycomb dial, and the 1030 movement inside looks to be in decent shape. Needs a new crown and stem, but it runs and still keeps time to +/- 2s a day. #watches

New #WatchesOfMastodon servicing adventure. Found this not running 1950’s Bruner Master-Bilt from Bruner Watch Co. out of Toronto. Feels cool to find a watch with a local connection to the past!

Not much information about them, sounds like it was a private label for a Toronto jeweller with ties to a Swiss manufacturer. Will know more once I can see the stamp of the movement maker.

Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical arrived! My first new #WatchesOfMastodon #watch. Wanted one of these since I first saw one, and finally saved up the cash. Reminds me of a kid’s watch.
Closest I’ll probably ever get to one of these is at the airport duty free shop. So here’s an obligatory #watchesofmastodon wrist-shot of an Omega Seamaster 300 with coaxial escapement.

Weekend #horology #watchesofmastodon project - get this ratty old AS 1287 movement cleaned up and beating regularly. Not sure what kind of watch this came out of.

For my first time oiling a movement I think I did pretty well. Got rate to within 10+/-s a day, increased average amplitude by 25 degrees, and beat error (the time between the tick and tock) to 1.0ms.
