Yesterday I visited a #Tudor AD and tried the new Monarch announced at #WatchesAndWonders2026. Sharp case shape is somewhat reminiscent of recent King Seiko. It is definitely different from most #watches they have made and it is in a very weird position, almost competing with the Royal. I am not a big fan of the 39mm size and the Californian dial either. #watchesofmastodon

*Seiko Metronome SMW006A*
Had a concert yesterday, and I wore the only watch I have that is _truly_ a tool watch for me. This video shows moving from time to metronome mode, and a few changes of tempo on the metronome. Not demo'ed is the tone generator ("pitch pipe"), but you can see the markings for it between the 10 and 2 indices.

#Cartier has so many case shapes in their archive that they just keep bringing them back from time to time. The return of the Roadster and Tortue was due for a little while, so not really a surprise there. The Myst is definitely a bit funky though. #watches #watchesofmastodon #WatchesAndWonders2026

Last year was an exception for #Rolex with the announcement of the Land Dweller. This year as often is the case, there is not much to say about them at #WatchesAndWonders2026. The new #watches are extremely safe iterations with new dial variants and materials. Just my opinion but I will say however that the revival and new take on the Jubilee motif dial is kind of ugly 😅. #watchesofmastodon
