Hello Tor Relay Operators, With the arrival of OpenSSL 3.5.0 in 2025, we finally had an important missing piece of infrastructure to start enabling the Tor network to support Post-Quantum Cryptography in the outermost cryptographic layer of the Tor protocol. Yesterday, I ran a scan of the available #TLS cipher suites in the #Tor production network:
32.32% of our relays currently support the x25519/ML-KEM-768 hybrid #PQC key exchange group.

Internet connectivity down in Iran as airstrikes hit the country.
Traffic volume dropped at 07:06 UTC and then again at 11:47 UTC with minimal connectivity remaining.
The country had a partial restoration since Jan-27 following a complete shutdown in Jan-8.
❗️Yesterday, #Gabon started blocking access to social media platforms
We just published a report documenting the blocking of WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube in Gabon based on OONI data: https://explorer.ooni.org/findings/340845567300
OONI data suggests that the blocks are implemented by means of DNS interference, as DNS queries return NXDOMAIN errors.
