Going forward, Mastodon updates on F-Droid will be maintained by the F-Droid team and signed with an unique per-app key generated by F-Droid. Apparently, there are people who are happy that they won’t be able to install optional third party stores on iOS because they don’t live in the EU.

Like, why?! “Oh I’m sure glad this option to get more apps that Apple might have not allowed doesn’t come to MY phone!”

Ever since i started including alt texts to all media posted on #Mastodon and #Pixelfed, i've never stopped doing it, but i'd be lying if i didn't say it had added quite a huge friction to me posting here *if* a photo/video is involved. It'd be great if there was a local/client-based feature that uses #AI to draft alt texts for u which u then simply need to adjust/improve, that'd be really cool. sort of like @IceCubesApp's feature of hashtagging keywords on ur post automatically.

@lizmeyer All web browsers on iOS are required to be Apple's browser under the covers by Apple; you're not allowed to use your own browser engine, so DDG can't choose to do that. There are also certain things that Safari itself can do that other browsers (even though they have to be Safari) cannot. https://open-web-advocacy.org/walled-gardens-report/ has lots more info on this from us at @owa, if you fancy a long read :-)

random fact: i pick up all the monthly/biweekly free games on #EpicGames Store not bcos i’d ever want to play them (i have n purchase all i need from #Steam), but for my future kid if i ever get one 😂 perhaps the digital equivalent of future parents ive seen on twitter that get happy meals just to collect toys for when they have children. #gaming

Operation #lost camera.

My son found a camera when he was Magnet fishing on the Zaanse schans a year ago. Then I got sick and couldn´t do anything with this camera.

We found her! The media has been send to her. So this search has ended.
