I have worked in election security in the United States for several cycles and continue to do so. I keep a minimal profile due to threats and attempts against my life and those whom I work alongside. My views are my own.
(2/2) "A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small "inside" group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes."
I keep seeing hot takes about war, as if "winning" is defined by achieving the *stated* goals. Major General Smedley D Butler, USMC explained it best almost a century ago.
(1/2) "War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives."
@Ashedryden The only consolation I can offer is that this does require administrative setup by your organization and is not a default integration.

TikTok had more freedom of speech when the Chinese were running it.

Just in case you are still in denial about America being fascist now.

"I think the majority of Americans (including left-wing voters) have not fully grasped the fact that our standing in the world will not recover in our lifetimes.
Even if we elected two full-term Democrats in a row, it wouldn't change the perception of the rest of the world. Because the rest of the world has discovered we do not have a system that prevents our nation from pivoting 180º toward authoritarianism when a madman is elected."

@NoctisEqui @futurebird Praise to the Omnissiah to waken the machine spirits. Some incense and a purity seal are usually also required.

An entire historic building was destroyed by the fascist invader.

But this is not a historic building in Ukraine.

This is The White House in Washington DC.

This is really sloppy journalism from the NYT. A convicted felon who asked for and received no jail time, who was adjudicated as a rapist in civil court and who refuses to prosecute child sex traffickers is hardly “prosecuting to the max”.
@mattblaze @defcon Thanks for all that you do. It was nice to meet you in person.
@LukaszOlejnik I work in government, we use this constantly in the elections space. What are better terms?
