Big news for the #Fediverse! End-to-end encryption is coming to #ActivityPub.

@swf with support from @sovtechfund is coordinating two interoperable implementations.

Bonfire is proud to be one of these first two projects, alongside #Emissary by @benpate

We think #E2EE should simply be the default for any private communications, and we’re especially thrilled to bring private, trusted collaboration to the fediverse.

For folks still in doubt - next they will come for gay people, then the disabled of all ages & all forms of disabilities, but watch for kids w/Down's syndrome, then adults who have outlived their usefulness. It won't stop there because they're already putting homeless in work camps. They've already made noise about institutionalizing autistic kids & adults. No one in the US will be safe from persecution excpt conservative white males with avg or above intelligence
