Last week I asked several times #chatgpt to solve typescript issues I had on daily basis. Suggestions were useless and each time I had to use my own brain to find solution... Ok I admit I used #stackoverflow answer in one case :)
Event if it was not helpful in these (rather complex) cases, I find this technology impressive... but I am not afraid to lose my job ... for now :D
Noone likes to work with arrogant #developers :) Practice your #empathy! It is essential for effective #communication and #collaboration and helps to understand different perspectives. You can start from asking open-ended questions: Instead of making assumptions or jumping to conclusions.
Good #communication is essential for the success of any #web #development project. Therefore you should:
- practice active listening
- use clear and concise language
- take into account audience level of understanding
- be open and honest
- seek feedback
- take time to fully understand the message you receive

"After many dramatic events around #Twitter lately, many people, including myself, began experimenting with Mastodon. Superficially it's an open-source clone of the former that anyone can deploy and host. However, once you look deeper, it's actually a completely different philosophy and architecture. #90: Mastodon: next-generation, open source social network

After many dramatic events around Twitter lately, many people, including myself, began experimenting with Mastodon. Superficially it's an open-source clone of the former that anyone can deploy and host. However, once you look deeper, it's actually a completely different philosophy and architecture. Let's focus on how Mastodon federated network is built. To understand the difference, we'll start from scratch.

Try to learn something new every day. Do this for a year and you will be in totally different place.

My #introduction
I was there before #internet. I saw first Silicon Graphics workstation (on the university) able to render 3D square in real time (it was something). I was learning to code and waiting for #WEB to be born.... And then I saw it - the very first page, it was a beaty. I recognised it's potential and dedicated my career to master #webDevelopment After a decade on the #backend I am focused on the #frontend these days. Worked as Senior, Principal and Architect. I am Software Craftsman
Users don't care about #designpatterns and #softwarearchitecture, they care about outcomes. Don't use fancy tech words and hard to grasp concepts when communicating to them. Keep it simple like #EventModeling does.
If you do you'r project #agile way, it doesn't mean you don't need a design. #EventModeling seems a perfect tool these days to create a blueprint for a solution. It can be translated into stories and serve as big picture for better understanding.
If you want to be a software developer, learn soft skills. Communication is as important as hard tech skills.
If you're already a senior, please be patient and understanding. Nobody wants to work with a jerk even if she/he is a genius.
