I was there for 15 years and three-quarters of a million tweets. On Twitter’s best day, it was never as interesting or stimulating as the Fediverse has been for me on some of its worst days. Twitter was mostly noise and mayhem occasionally interrupted by interesting moments. Here, it’s almost the complete reverse of that.
Ha ha Ted Kacynski what a weird modernity-hating freak. Anyway, back to this tech billionaire who killing children with his robot-car alpha tests and turning a virtual town square into a incel klan rally

The latest Trump indictment is part of a process that could steer the United States back toward the rule of law.

The alternative is stark: If Trump -- or Trumpism -- regains the presidency and Congress, democracy will not survive.

This should be obvious now to every journalist, even the most weak-kneed, both-sides normalizers of extremists. And it's long past time for Big Journalism to act accordingly.

Yet when you look at the coverage, you see that business as usual prevails.

CNN should just lean in and approach everything with this ethos. “What if we ask Kanye host a Seder? What would happen if we bought Jared Fogle a Build-A-Bear franchise? OOOHHHH JEFFREY DAHMER COOKING SHOW”
Esta es buena. Los propulsores iónicos existen desde hace ya un tiempo y no de manera teórica. Ya hay satélites en el espacio que hacen uso de ellos, como por ejemplo... er... starlink

Get ready for the propaganda initiative in which Mastodon will be labeled a site for “groomers” and “pedophiles.” It’s the least creative messaging imaginable, but you know it’s only a matter of time before we hear it coming from Elon, Fox, Daily Wire, etc. FWIW, Human Events is a right wing rag with roots that stretch back to the Goldwater conservatism of the early 1960s. It was Reagan’s favorite source of information.

As a human rights lawyer who has done extensive immigration work, let me make something absolutely clear.

Asylum is legal immigration.
There's no "port of entry" requirement.
There's no "visa" requirement.
There's no "first country" requirement.
You enter the United States, and you apply for asylum.

Because asylum is legal immigration. Period.

Period.
