PNW Deb@Popehat I was actually in the room several times with the bomb that Kaczynski mailed to Boeing. The package was misplaced and not opened for some reason. When it was eventually opened, the batteries were dead. LE detonated it out in a field some time after that.

@Popehat Actually the unabomber didn't really hate modernity. He hated the usage of it by government for fascist purposes. I'm not saying that he's a good and decent human being by any stretch because innocent lives were impacted by his crusade. But in the depths of his own mental illness lay a brilliant mind. Imagine if treatment for mental illness wasn't still lingering in a 19th century modality. We might be looking at a whole different history.
