Another update and possibly a solution for some case where posts were not properly deleted. There is a limitation in Powerdelete. Here is a link to a new version and alternatives:

The restores could also be rollbacks from the server issues or post haven't been properly deleted due to subs being private during blackouts.

@pwaring If you are going to do that you need to have a promise that your sizes won't drift over time! I have bought trousers that should be the same as an existing pair I bought previously - only to find that I an now the proud owner of clown sized trousers (in one case there was about a 4" difference in waistline and neither of them had been washed at that point...

New smoke alarms installed. They are definitely working and they are loud. As I was finishing up next door popped round to see if we had anything beeping - apparently he had been hunting for the source of the beeps since I started the install (I was testing when they came out of the box, then once they were installed and then linked them and did a whole system test).

Once I explained what I was doing he went back and I heard him testing their alarms! 😁

@ianbetteridge part of me hopes that they implement this change and force some of the big subs that are still blacked out into new hands - just to have the user base kick out their appointees and black the sub out again…

It probably won’t happen but it would amuse me if it did…

Spend the next hour and a half going over the details of an existing system they are trying to replace.

They get more and more pissed off at the senior leadership forcing their project to happen

@szakib the actual detectors have a shelf life as well. The advice is to replace them every 10 years or so anyway and I would rather have a low internal battery to remind me than just forget. The ones we have at the moment are over 5 years old, so I’m not too concerned about upgrading them vs just swapping a new battery in. And I will probably add more in bedrooms when the kids are older but for now one on the landing should be fine - our bedroom doors are never closed so it is essentially all one space at the moment.
