I think the "24 hour news cycle" failed and the companies need to pivot to a new model.

When articles about a mom being upset with their local movie theater, or a person upset about 'x, y, z' that has absolutely no effect on us, or all these 'my feelings were hurt because they didn't...', it shows they have no content and are using small minority examples to cause wide spread reactions, usually discontent.

Ignoring big media companies in favour of your local establishments should come back.

I'm thinking of making a video or maybe infographic on comparing how the Fediverse works compared to traditional internet and social media.

It's something new to me but I'm passionate about teaching other people how to take control of their digital lives.
