This was taken yesterday. Before the snow. We live with this Bard Owl pair, that is they share their woods with us. They come out at dusk, when little creatures are scurrying, and they sit on a branch and look left, then center, then right, then back again, able to see completely around themselves. They move quickly. Just seconds after I took this picture, it was gone, exploding off the branch, swooping down, back up with a mouse in its talons.
