Lame #musician, tech guy getting into #DevOps and #InfoSec as a profession and not just hobby reading material. Love puns and really dumb jokes. Allergic to buzzwords. I also really love #cats, large and small, #WoodWorking, #Gardens, and #Hiking. #NoBot #DontScrapeMe #DoNotConsentToDataScraping

⚠️ Warning: do not use Hive Social πŸ‘‰πŸπŸ‘ˆ

Dieser Artikel ist auch auf deutsch erschienen. Update: The vulnerabilities are currently no longer exploitable because Hive deactivated their servers. More details Following the Twitter takeover, a number of services promising to be an alternative gained traction. One of those is β€œHive Social”, which reached more than a million users in the last weeks. Of course, we were interested and took a look at Hive from a security standpoint. We found a number of critical vulnerabilities, which we confidentially reported to the company. After multiple attempts to contact the company we finally reached them by phone and they acknowledged the report. After multiple days and multiple reminders by us, they claimed to fix them within the next two days. However after those two days, multiple vulnerabilities we reported were not fixed and still existed at the time of writing. ⚠️ We strongly advise against using Hive in any form in the current state.

Today's #hiking photo from #BryceCanyonNationalPark. We did the peek-a-boo loop from the Bryce trail. Total of 5 miles and 1500 feet of elevation change. Word of advice: if visiting the park from November - April, bring micro spikes for your shoes. We needed them for the entire trail - many sections were solid ice.

The last two days of #hiking has me tired after almost ten hours of sleep. Glad today is transitory with only a mile hike to an observation point in the northern part of #ZionNationalPark.

For now, I'll leave y'all with this picture.

Today as our last full day in #ZionNationalPark we did #TheNarrows - a water hike that goes for miles. We did just over two miles out before turning around and by the time we did, the water we were hiking through was close to freezing. Glad we rented gear for the hike.

Today in #ZionNationalPark we hiked #AngelsLanding, which had this amazing view at the top. However, easily the hardest day hike I've ever done, and I include #GrandCanyon in that.

The first part isn't bad - mostly paved switchbacks at a fairly steep incline for the first 2mi. The last half a mile is a pulse pounding chain hike up approximately 500ft.

Thought I screwed up the visibility settings on this, apparently I'm just dumb. So excited for the 4.0 release and the edit button

Off to #utah! For those used to seeing a pretty steady stream of boosts and replies from me, enjoy your unclucked feed! Be kind to one another and I'll share pictures from each #NationalPark as we make our way through #Zion #BryceCanyon #CapitolReef #Arches #Canyonlands
