Got onions?

Bad news - We just ran out of the Patterson onions we grew last year. They stored fine in our unheated detached garage. On a couple of the nights with temps in the mid to low 20s I moved them to an unheated room in the house.

Good news - I just harvested the first Walla Walla that we grew from seeds I planted in our mini greenhouse last fall. This onion is only medium size. The other onions in that batch will get considerably bigger.

Tonight’s menu - Walla Walla onion burgers.

We had so much rain (99mm in May, and 85mm in June so far) that our pond is nearly overflowing (for which it’s designed, so no big issues there). The bridge in the middle is usually completely clear of the water around this time of the year.
