What I love about #railtrails is how close you get to history. I'm standing on a bridge (1) built for the West Penn Railroad in 1907 and abandoned in 1950, looking at remnants of old bridges from the original 1854 (2, 3; the footers and abutment) and 1882 (4; the pier) alignments.
Since I'm strictly indoor riding this winter, I'm going to post scenes from some of my favorite rides to date on Pennsylvania's #railtrail network.
Has anyone started a railtrail / #cycling / #biketouring Mastodon instance yet?

I'm pretty happy with the way our first batch of mylar bags turned out.
Food prices are about to skyrocket, so this is a cheap and easy way to stock up now. The bags came with an oxygen absorber so once they're sealed, the food inside should stay fresh for at least 5-10 years.
