That makes sense.

Are you someone who knows about Enochian - the Celestial / Angelic conlang - ?

Am considering buying an Enochian dictionary (but just one) and there are quite a few to choose from so looking for recommendations.

Thanks

the joys of scrolling social media, and seeing someone post something like "It's horrific how quickly trump supporters have normalized drowning puppies in buckets of battery acid in whites-only barbershops! None of that is okay!"

and then being like "oh fuck what terrifying news story did I miss"

Take a closer look at "The Garden of Earthly Delights", the best known painting by the genius that was Hieronymus Bosch, who died #onthisday in 1516: https://publicdomainreview.org/collection/details-from-bosch-s-garden-of-earthly-delights-ca-1500 #otd

The secrecy, leniency and obvious coverups of things like the Epstein case. This issue is HUGE and both parties try to use it but I think very few people think either really care about the root issues at all. Rich people can do whatever they want. They even have their own prisons when they manage to get into one. (Rare)

Kickbacks, stock trading, and the obscene wealth of members of congress.

"Why should I vote for HER to go get rich in DC?"

@mudkip The are literally trying to look at it "from a different angle"
@meluzzy @mudkip bird (abstract) therian here, can vouch.

@meluzzy @mudkip If it's making a sound, they're trying to better understand the shape or origin of the sound!

Most animals don't have 3 dimensional positional hearing like we do! They only can tell sound origins laterally (right to left), so they tilt their heads to figure out if the sound is coming from above or below the identified lateral source.

@mawr @meluzzy @mudkip ah! that makes sense! good to know
@mudkip I do this
@tatsumon @mudkip Does it help?
@SeldenOtter @mudkip Definitely, this move activates the supreme thinking mode
@mudkip Literally looking at things from a different angle to try and make sense of it

@mudkip I do this too, when I’m thinking about something that is unfamiliar. Yes, it helps.

"Research in psychology suggests that looking in different directions can correlate with various cognitive functions. For instance, many people tend to look up and to the right when they are trying to recall a memory or engage in creative thinking.
(Head tilt also changes eye movement.)

@mudkip I guess tilting the head changes the angle of their ears, and that changes the direction of their hearing. Probably the 45° angle is part of natural selection.

@mudkip

Can confirm-

Things don't make any more or less sense but those around you at least understand how much of a dumb dog you are

@mudkip The last time I had a hearing test, I actually did this unknowingly -- the lab tech asked if I was OK 😅

Thanks... I'm perfectly broken

@mudkip sometimes you have to tilt your head at juuuust the right angle
