Level 10 Computer Mage

In the past, I ran some small communities and reverse-engineered things. These days, I mostly make weird music and complain about electronics.

@Andromxda Yeah, it runs a proprietary fork of Gitea
@david_chisnall I think Worktree (https://about.worktree.ca/) might be worth looking into although I'm not too familiar with it personally.
Worktree

Worktree is a Canadian Git, DevOps, and Cloud platform. Collaborate on code, build with GitHub-compatible Actions, and deploy to Worktree Cloud.

@mocha I think most of the appeal is that they invest quite a bit into making Framework owners feel like part of a "community" (sorta like Apple) and provide a stable standard-ish platform for people to tinker with (sorta like Raspberry Pi).

Plus being able to like… replace the hinges / battery and not have buggy boot firmware seems pretty nice.

Made a mumbly video where I go over Saulala's interface, it becoming a PWA and developing a few photos.

Not sure whether it's very interesting, but I wanted to show the process and all the goodies that can be found in #Saulala

I miss when writing code felt cool and magical instead of a means to an end.

Maybe that's why I like quirky or redundant projects — writing code that serves little practical purpose is a small way of ridiculing the goal-oriented status quo. Each and every toy scripting language, hobbyist OS, CSS crime, or DIY game engine is a small act of rebellion in an environment that doesn't see the value in them.

One math YouTuber (Lee Creighton) just challenged another math YouTuber (citytutoringmath) to a competition.

I hope this happens because it would be really funny.

I've set up a quick test-scene in #Blender to illustrate the problem with 'Saturation' controls, that should apply both to #photography software and CGI.

I'll post them one-by-one, so there's no mixup. Might get a little spammy.

This is the image. Lights in fog + meatball. Currently formed with Blender's AgX.

There are 4 'Saturation' control methods in the compositor:

1. Pre-formation 'Classic' (luminance)
2. Pre-formation HSV (maxRGB)
3. Post- Classic
4. Post- HSV

My new album will be out on 9th of February 2026. but you can PREORDER it NOW and get 3 tracks early! The album was made with 100% libre software, namely @ardour and a truckload of amazing FOSS plug-ins like Vital[ium], Surge XT, Geonkick, ZynAddSubFX, Linux Studio Plug-ins Airwindows, Calf... I will try to do an online listening party and maybe talk about how the album came together (if people are curious).
