(2/2) Wir ziehen um, weil mit unserer neuen Instanz nun eine „Homebase“ für Fairphone-Interessierte da ist, die wir natürlich stärken wollen.
Ich ermuntere alle: Unterstützt eure Instanz, gerne auch mit ein paar Euros. Es muss nicht viel sein – ich habe für uns bescheidene 1 Euro pro Monat kalkuliert und Ende 2022 gespendet. Das werde ich für meinen persönlichen Account auch weiter so halten, und natürlich auch für die 2023 von der Fairphone Community Aachen „genutzten“ Monate.

Seitdem ich unsere Community letztes Jahr erstmals auf Mastodon heimisch gemacht habe, hatte ich nie Grund über Euch zu klagen und habe die freundliche Atmosphäre eurer Instanz immer geschätzt. Danke dafür! Und meinen persönlichen Account bei Euch behalte ich. 🙂
New instance, new #introduction 😀
This account is all about the community around Fairphone. 📱
So expect posts about community meetups 🗓️, Fairphone Angels 👼, pointers to our https://fairphone.community forum 🌐 and the occasional update on custom ROMs 🛠️.
We might also boost selected posts asking for help/sharing individual experiences with Fairphones.
Currently the account is run by Ingo /i and Urs /u as you can see in our bio along with the hint that we’re not representing the company Fairphone.
On the fediverse since 29.04.2018, our old instance went poof two days before we could migrate to our new home provided by @paula and the Fediverse Foundation (many thanks for that 👏).
So here we are again!
As we’ve lost all our followers of the old account, BOOSTS 
are more welcome than ever.

This is all about #Fairphone.
The story:
Do you remember back in the days when #Apple installed the suicide nets in "their" factories?
That's when I decided I'll no longer buy any Apple products.
When my iPhone died I looked around for a more sustainable and/or free (as in freedom) option.
So I stumbled upon Fairphone and bought the #FP1 or rather the #FP1u.
Soon afterwards I joined the first Fairphone meeting that took place in Vienna, Austria and we founded the @AustrianFairphoners.
So I joined the Fairphone community on Dec 9, '14 and it was like a family for me for a long time.
In 2018 I was actually introduced to the #Fediverse via the Fairphone forum.
In 2019 I joined #FridaysForFuture and ever since, I'm less active with Fairphone, but I would still never buy another phone and if I get the chance to help setup a Fediverse instance for Fairphone of course I will take it. 🙂
