My child and I arrived in Italy yesterday to spend all of July at my parents' 🇮🇹

Got spam to the @lwn inbox today saying that our site is "still running like old school" and offering to overhaul the site for "performance, security, and compatibility." (Kudos on the Oxford comma, though.)

My friend, we're not "like" old school. We *are* old school. Yes, the site design is classic - but I suspect we have fewer security problems than many sites; as far as performance and compatibility, being "old school" means that you should be able to read LWN quickly & well in any browser.

Was asked to deputise for my manager in a meeting today.

It opened my eyes to how fast the ship is sinking, and explains a lot of things going on.

I need to get out!

With the clarity of hindsight, it's fine to say Honda would obviously nail a reusable rocket test

But, I don't think anyone outside the company actually expected this. Honda has a history of venturing out to experimental work E.G. robotics, but this is totally new
