Today I found my first (very modest) contribution to CPython, it was on June 2006 and consisted of a note to be added to a README.

GitHub says I've been involved in 599 #CPython issues, mostly as a bug triager many moons ago. Had lots of fun, called it "the Tracker Archeology effort". I'm so thankful for how it was received then.

A lot of great people have invested a lot of time and energy into triaging and the development process since. Things are different and so much better today.
