Day 5 of #santorini in #unity : added game end conditions, and we have a working game!

I play-tested it with my kid, who immediately found a bug in the win condition check, as one would expect. The foundational mechanics in place, now comes UX and the "make it pretty" phase. Wish me luck!

Day 4 of my #santorini port to #unity3d : added pawn action buttons and movement/building rules. Refactored my coordinates system to make it easier on myself.

For the first time in years I have the time and energy to finally learn to make games on Unity. As a first project, I've decided to implement a version of the boardgame "Santorini".

Day 1 was spent wrestling with 2d iso colliders to make them register mouse clicks on the right layer, before scrapping it all to start again in 3d.

On day 2 I made the basic board and tile initialization logic + some basic camera controls.

Day 3 is pawn selection and movement... and my first screen capture of the progress!
