This will never stop happening.
The fundamental prerequisites of security are systems that can be understood being operated by people who understand them.
Large Language Madlib Sycophancy does not and cannot have either of those properties.
I've had a soft spot for typing games ever since I played "Typing of the Dead".
Weird, because I'm a self-taught typist, and don't follow proper typing form. My own style is so ingrained, I don't think I could learn to type properly now, but I'm still passably fast anyway.
Here's a charming typing game I found out about today on itch. It's got some great art and some delightful humor to it. Worth checking out!
Here's an example of what I've been talking about with regard to itch users' generosity.
These three folks bought my little game, which is PWYW with a suggested price of $3, and together MORE THAN DOUBLED the asking price!
Extra money is always great of course, but what's better is the vote of confidence that represents. It's warm fuzzies ON TOP of the $$$.
If you're an indie author only selling on DTRPG, consider also selling on itch. Good people there!
The topic of accessible wargaming came up in a Discord forum I frequent.
It can be costly, in terns of money, time, and space, to get started.
So I made a game that's cheap, and comes with all the papercraft terrain and minis you need to play. It's easy to assemble, and it has a nice small footprint on the table during play. An easy intro to skirmish wargaming!
It's called "Fable on Your Table".

It sure is nice to get some positive comments when you release a new little indie game. I released a few 'zine adventures as a PWYW bundle the other day, and several people have written in the comments that they were excited to see them.
That's a great feeling! The itch audience are good people.
So I challenge you: Today, find an indie dev whose stuff you've enjoyed, and leave a positive comment telling them so! Bonus points if they have no comments on their game yet.

Bravo. Who is liable for publishing what an AI bot outputs, if not the company publishing it?
Arguing that it's the end user's responsibility to fact-check would open the door for chatbots to be trained to sling lies about anyone anywhere anytime, and there would be nothing anyone could do about it.
"Oh, sure, my chatbot told ten thousand people you're a pedophile, but how is that MY fault? Those ten thousand people didn't fact check what my AI told them, so this is all on them..."
I released a new volume for my little “Dungeon Hero” solo RPG ‘zine.
This one is a series of fun adventures inspired by campy sci-fi plots like “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” or “The Blob”. I had a great time writing these!
Three of the adventures are free/PWYW, and the fourth is available with a donation.

Another example of the itch community being generous.
Yesterday I released a new “Dungeon Hero” expansion. It’s free, but if you pay $3 or more you get access to bonus content.
Several people went ahead and paid, which is not surprising, but more than a quarter of them paid EVEN MORE than that! And a few left congratulatory messages too!
Very heartening!

Another great story about the impact of AI with no mention to it in the headline of the story:
In South Korea a Starbucks marketing campaign is created using AI and executives don't even bother to open the email attachments to check the proposals. The campaign was published on the date of a pro-democracy protesters massacre calling it Tank Day and using slogans clearly drawing from the deadly military attack, which felt deeply unrespectful to the victims. The AI most likely learned that from far-right forums like Ilbe where mocking the victims is common.
They cancelled the campaign hours after publishing it but it was too late, the CEO has been sacked, card payments went down a 26%, refunds haven been requested from prepaid cards, police is investigating and Starbucks asked costumers to refrain from directing their anger to staff.
