Heute zum Feministischen Kampftag, aka Weltfrauentag, habe ich mir einfach mal überlegt, welche Möglichkeiten und Privilegien Männer haben, die ich für uns auch gern hätte. Abends einfach die Kopfhörer aufsetzen und joggen gehen, ohne vorher den Weg abzuwägen und den Park im eigentlich sicheren V
Häufig wird angenommen, dass rechtsradikale Parteien sich selbst entzaubern oder mäßigen, wenn sie in Verantwortung übernehmen müssen. Berliner Wissenschaftlerinnen weisen nach: Statistisch lässt sich das nicht belegen - im Gegenteil.

Jaja, call-to-action unter Artikeln schön und gut, aber vor dem posten vielleicht nochmal drüberlesen, damit's nicht unfreiwillige Satire wird?
Unter einem Text darüber, dass ein KI-Agent eine gesamte Webseite plus 2,5 Jahre an Backups gelöscht hat, liest sich das jedenfalls aberwitzig:
"Was haltet ihr von diesem Vorfall? Würdet ihr einer künstlichen Intelligenz weitreichende Rechte in eurer Infrastruktur einräumen? Schreibt uns eure Meinung gerne in die Kommentare."
Erneut hat ein KI-Agent eine komplette Datenbank samt Backups gelöscht. Der Vorfall zeigt einmal mehr drastisch die Risiken auf, wenn man künstlicher Intelligenz zu viel Kontrolle über kritische Infrastruktur überlässt. Immerhin gab es eine Art Happy End.

Sadly, this is old news.
Twenty years ago I completed a PhD thesis that unpacked & examined these aspects of domestic life.
By interviewing parents & kids separately, asking the same open ended questions - ‘what gets done, who does what, is it fair, & how do you think it should be?’, which I ran through 3 times, first for domestic tasks, then for the work of identifying what needs to be done & making sure it happens, then for noticing how everyone is feeling & keeping every happy in the process - then taking the family as my unit of analysis, I showed that men & kids were unaware of much of the physical & almost all of the intangible work women did in their homes. Boys & men thought everything was fine. Girls did not want to assume, as adults, the domestic servant role they saw their mothers placed in but had no strategies to achieve this beyond ‘I’ll just tell them’.
There was a hierarchy of work in these families in which men’s work & leisure time had highest priority, then kids’ schooling & leisure, then domestic work of all kinds. Womens paid work & leisure was lowest priority of all.
The families that lived without conflict were those in which the hierarchy of work was not disputed. Where women sought to disrupt the hierarchy there was conflict - which became another part of the domestic load she was expected to manage.
My findings showed that contrary to popular narratives of ‘progress’, this dynamic was not likely to change until men as well as women recognise the dynamic & choose to shift it.
This argument was not popular.
Twenty years later, here we are.
I wish I had been wrong.

Little One has friends with two mums, two dads, a single mum, an adopted family, divorced parents and knows both non binary people and a friendly adult who has transitioned their gender while we knew them.
We've been to drag queen story times, which Little One enjoys, because dressing up and telling stories and singing is Fun.
None of that has been confusing or an issue at all.
You know what this child finds confusing and upsetting?
That there are people with no home, sleeping in the streets. With nothing to eat.
That makes no sense to them. And rightly so, because it has no justification.
